About the Building

The 48-story 1271 Avenue of the Americas, developed by The Rockefeller Group in partnership with Time Inc. and designed by Harrison Abramovitz & Harris, holds a special place in Rockefeller Center history. When the building opened in 1959, it marked Rockefeller Center’s expansion to the west side of Avenue of the Americas.
